EDS Rejuvenate (from makers of Derma Roller) is a gold award winning professional skin-needling treatment, clinically proven to dramatically reduce the appearance of scarring and wrinkles to reveal smoother, tighter, younger looking skin.
EDS Rejuvenate treatment is an electronic, micro-skin-needling procedure that stimulates your skin to naturally generate and you can expect to see an improvement in your skin’s texture and tone and the results you see over time will look natural and be long lasting. Each treatment produce thousands of micro-medical needle-columns in the skin. Each column penetrate into the dermis of the skin and is approximately 0.1mm in width. The column it creates closes rapidly, enabling the skin to recover quickly, often in the same day. Topical anaesthetic cream is used to numb the skin making the procedure more comfortable. It will normally take up to 30 minutes for the topical anaesthetic to work and 20 - 30 minutes for the Dermaroller procedure.
After treatment the body starts to naturally regenerate and repair the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. It takes time as new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to 6 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long lasting enhancement.
It is normally recommended that treatment consists of a series of 2-3 Dermaroller procedures, approximately 6 weeks between each visit. In the treatment of acne scars and other types of scaring, up to 5 visits may be required.
Immediately after treatment, the skin will look like a moderate sunburn. This will start to subside after 2 hours and will normally recover within the same day, with only slight redness the following day. Skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. Chiroxy Cream is applied after the procedure to help soothe and calm the skin and is used until the redness has cleared.
Tepid water should be used to cleanse the face for the following 48 hours. It is recommended that make up is not applied for 12 hours after the procedure. Mineral make-up is most suitable for use during this period if necessary. A broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with a SPF50 must be used when outdoors. In the days following treatment, skin may feel drier than normal as the skin starts to regenerate and repair. Once the redness has cleared, it is important that the skin is cared for on an ongoing daily basis with and effective anti-ageing regime
